Three causes that led to the Russian revolution

1. Russia had been humiliated in a war with Japan in 1904.
2. Most of the population in Russia were all peasants who were ruled by the Nobles.
3. Tsar Nicholas was a weak leader, he did not have a secretary and he had to run the government by himself.

1. There were riots in Petrograd about the food shortages and war
2. The soldiers rebelled and refused to put down the riots
